13 August was Charak day.
It is celebrated in Ayurved world on occasion of Nagapanchami . The reason behind it is the Acharya Patanjali as the Avatar (form) of The devine snake " Shesha" The same acharya is the originator of Yoga and Sanskrit Vyakaran . Thus acharya charak is the originator of three things which clear the Mind by Yoga ,Oration by Vyakaran and body by Ayurveda. Charak is the name given to the person who frequently moves from one place to another. "Charati iti Charak"
He has given importance to The cow boys and the shephards since they stay in forest and has much information about herbs and fruits. Charak samhita is most practical book and praised in world wide for its great value in Treatment." Charakastu chikitsite"
This year in maharashtra it was celebrated in state with great celebration and on online mode. On many centres the webinars were arranged and a common paper presentation and poster and essay competition was held.
It was decided to arrange every year in same manner.
